DESCRIPTIONStanmar Fixed Electrical Resistance Corrosion Probes are designed for services where retractable probes are not permitted by plant or other requlations. they use the same principals of monitoring corrosion rates as the retractable versions but in addition they provide a more economic approach and in most cases a higher temperature and pressure rating than retractable probes. Stanmar Fixed Probes are not removable under system pressure.

Fixed Corrosion Probes are available with wire loop, tube loop, and cylindrical sensing elements. Glass sealed elements provide the wire loop and tube loop series of probes increased protection for the reference element. Designed with rugged fixed boddies, these probes are an excellent choice when optimizing your corrosion monitoring/control program. These probes are designed for organic or inorganic fluids of all types in the pH range of 0 to 9. Cylindrical element probes are recommended for more aggresive enviroments. The all welded construction of a cylindrical element provides the highest integrity for a corrosion measurement element. Only the material under evaluation is exposed to the process fluid.

Fixed probes are available with mounting options of NPT threaded or flanged. If you have a special mounting configuration that does not fall into these categories, consult the factory for custom mounting options. Standard body material is stainless steel. In applications where steel bodies would be subject to failure due to stress cracking or pitting, or for probes made of special material, contact the factory for specific information before ordering. High temperature versions of these probes are available. Maximum temperature and pressure of Stanmar Fixed Probes are frequently limited by flange ratings rather than probe construction.

In cases of the more exotic alloys such as Hastelloy, Monel, Incalloy, Titanium or other alloys where materials and flanges are relatively expensive, refurbishing of the process side of the quill may be possible at the end of probe element life.

TANK HEATERSStanmar “MAT” heaters are furnished to easily fit the walls of a tank, vessel, drum, or shaped to fit over a pump or many complex configurations. Construction is of a stainless steel cloth with heating cable permanently mounted on the inside surface. Size can vary from just a few square feet to several hundred square feet. They give uniform heating, with a wide range of watts per foot available. Equipped with Incoloy sheath heating cable, the mats can withstand very corrosive and high temperature environments. Incoloy cable offers exceptional resistance to reducing acids, oxidizing chemicals and chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking. standard Incoloy sheath heating cable constructions can operate continuously at temperatures to 1000° F, and with the unit end cap of welded construction, unit sheath temperature can withstand 1500° F. In less corrosive and extreme temperature conditions, copper heating cable can be furnished.

One of the greates advantages of the mat heaters is the minimal labor required for installation. To insure a snug fit, the mats are furnished with fastening bands. After the bands have been secured, the heating cable is safely protected by stainless cloth.

Stanmar “MAT” Heaters are very rugged and have an unlimited life expectancy. The metal and mineral construction assures the units will not age as will organic materials. The mats are easy to install and often are moved from one vessel to another. The mats are custom designed to allow for stairs, manholes, and nozzles.

APPLICATIONS FOR MAT HEATERS

Maintain temperatures of product by offsetting ambient heat losses from tank or vessel walls.

Provide Hi-Lo dual heat capacity to compensate for start up conditions.

Eliminate condensation of saturated vapors by stabilizing internal tank temperatures.

Minimize residue build-up of deposits or sediments due to product cooling.

Minimize system maintenance by residue build-up

ORDERING INFORMATION:

GENERAL
Custom design and engineering are included without fee for normal tank heating systems and controls purchased from Stanmar. The purchaser shall provide complete physical and design parameters including acticipated operating procedures.
Normally a mat heater system is used to maintain the temperature of a fluid in a vessel, with product heat-up being a secondary consideration. Since the fluid level will change, the upper and lower operating limits should be specified. The heater mats will be configured in zones so that the heat input can be monitored to conform to the requirements created by the liquid level.

VESSEL DIMENSIONS

The area of the wall to be heated can be calculated fro the height and diameter of a cylindrical tank, for estimating purposes. However, the detailed design must allow for access openings and obstructions in the tank construction. This will normally require a sketch or drawing with all obstructions located, sized and tied to a common reference point.

At Stanmar, we manufacture a complete line of
pump skid assemblies for your pumping needs.
The assemblies are custom built per your
application and range from simple pump and
motor assemblies to PLC controlled “Smart
Pump” systems with tank, containment basin, heat tracing, level gauging, etc. We strive to be
flexible in all aspects of the building process to
give you, the customer, the customized pump skid you are needing.

APPLICATIONS

Being a custom manufacturer of pump skids
means the applications for your products are
limited to basically one thing; whatever the
customer requires! Yes, we do have limitations,
and for the most part our pump skid applications are in Additives, Polymers, Dyes, Defoamers,
Oils, Inhibitors, Lubricants, and Emulsions, but
call the factory with your pumping needs and a
representative will help you custom build a
system to fit your requirements.

Some types of pump skids we manufacture are as follows:

aaaa

* Batching     Systems

*4-20 mA signal following pumps with DC motors and controllers.
* Ratio Pumps
* “Smart Pumps”
* Redundant pumps for critical services.

We represent manufacturers such as: Neptune Chemical Pump Co., Milton Roy Metering Pumps, Roper Pump Co., Viking Pump Co., and Bran Leubbe Pumps, to name a few. We will build a system around the pump manufacturer of your choice. Call the factory for availability.

TANKS

Stanmar will incorporate the needed tank into the pump system layout to provide the customer with a “turn key” package which makes the final installation at the customer’s location much less labor intense and it makes for a much better planned approach to solving your pumping needs.

In addition to providing tanks with the pump systems, Stanmar carries a full line of Horizontal and Vertical bulk tanks in either Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel, Ul-142 approval upon request. Call a Stanmar representative for further information regarding tank designs and configurations.
